I was sitting around one day, bored to death, when I suddenly had an idea.
So you might know that I love to listen to French music. Like, REALLY REALLY love it. And I also love singing, and occasionally even writing songs. So I had this idea: what if I made English versions of French songs?
One of the first French songs I ever listened to was "Minuit" by Lenni-Kim. So I wrote down a rough English translation of the lyrics, and it was so easy to make another song now that I had the tune, the meaning, and most of the words!
After a lot of trial and error, sneaking around the house to find a place to record the song (because I don't like singing in front of people), and hours and hours on iMovie (my eyes hurt so bad!) I finally came up with something.
You can check it out here!
And yeah, that's basically it. I don't know. I was going to write about "MY EXPERIENCE WITH MAKING THIS SONG" or like "EVERYONE CAN BE A SUPERSTAR!" but then I just got bored. Also, did I mention my eyes hurt so bad?
Oh yeah, and I was also going to give you all an overview of my day! Well, today I decided that I was going to make a schedule to plan out my day. It was surprisingly easy, and it's been working out pretty well! I already feel a little more productive than usual, so... baby steps!
I also discovered that exponents, radicals, and Algebra is even more confusing than I could ever have imagined.
Yes, I know it's probably weird that I mentioned having a daily schedule and I didn't make a post to share it, but I'll get to that. I think I have a half-hour break in around ten minutes, but until then, I'm supposed to be exercising. (This is my exercise routine, in case you're interested.)
Anyways, thanks so much for bearing with my randomness! I hope you like the song (and don't forget to check out the original version of Minuit as well)! I'm going to go exercise, so I suppose if something deep and philosophical comes up while I'm doing my 45-second wall sit, I'll just come back and update this post.
P.S. If you, like me, loved the song enough to want to sing it too, here's an instrumental version you can use! Yes, I made it. Yes, it is the same background music I used in my cover. I hope you like it!
